Dr. Rachel Oliver is a highly skilled and compassionate OB/GYN with a deep commitment to women’s health. She has been providing exceptional care to her patients for over a decade and is a board-certified specialist in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Oliver earned her medical degree from the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and completed her residency training in OB/GYN at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. During her residency, she received multiple accolades for her outstanding patient care and contributions to medical education.
Following her residency, Dr. Oliver joined a private OB/GYN practice in her hometown of San Diego, where she quickly gained a reputation for her personalized and empathetic approach to care. Her clinical expertise, coupled with her passion for women’s health, led her to join OGA Women’s Health in Meridian, ID, where she has been serving as an OB hospitalist for St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Meridian, and Nampa, ID, since 2017.
Dr. Oliver’s commitment to medical education and research is evident in her many professional appointments. She is the OB faculty at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho in Nampa, ID, and a gynecologist at Valor Health Medical Center in Emmett, ID. She is also an Associate Professor at the WAMI School of Medicine and has been proctoring medical students in the OB/GYN core rotation since 2019. Since 2022, Dr. Oliver has been the Chair of the Department of Women’s and Children’s at St. Luke’s Nampa Medical Center.
Dr. Oliver is licensed by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and has been board certified since January 2017. She has won numerous awards and honors for her work in obstetrics and gynecology, including the Excellence in Minimally Invasive Surgery Award from the Riverside OB/GYN Department in June 2013, and the Extraordinary Resident Award from the Riverside OB/GYN Department in August 2011.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Oliver is passionate about medical education and has presented at several conferences on topics such as fetal lung maturity testing and gestational diabetes. She has also written articles such as “La Vida en Augusto: Living with Caroli Disease” and “Top 10 Tips for New Students.”
Dr. Oliver’s commitment to advancing women’s health is further demonstrated through her scholarship fund for future doctors. The Dr. Rachel Oliver Scholarship Fund awards $1,000 to a medical student who wins an essay contest, providing financial assistance to aspiring doctors who share Dr. Oliver’s dedication to women’s health.
